Record-setting fuels flight keeps gas flowing at Manas

Senior Airman Grady Tunnell adjusts the throttle on the pump at fill station No. 1 in the fuel storage yard Nov. 27 at Manas Air Base, Kyrgyzstan. The pump is used to push fuel into the R-11 fuel trucks at a rate of 450 gallons per minute. It can take up to 30 minutes to fill the 5,800 gallon R-11. Airman Tunnell is assigned to the 376th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, Petroleum, Oils and Lubricants Flight and deployed from the 60th LRS at Travis Air Force Base, Calif.
