Maintainers turn Rivet Joint

Airman Mark Magill inspects the number two engine on an RC-135 Rivet Joint in Southwest Asia. The F108-model high bypass turbofan engine, introduced to the 135-airframe in August of 1998, has proven to be a reliable workhorse in transporting the heavy 275,000-pound intelligence and reconnaissance platform. Airman Magill is a jet engine mechanic deployed from the 55th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron from Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Scott Wagers)
