Chip away
Staff Sgt. Ryan Craig comforts his military working dog, Bruno, while Col. (Dr.) Marcus Beyerle repairs Bruno's chipped tooth Nov. 18 at Manas Air Base, Kyrgystan. Sergeant Craig and Bruno, deployed from the 99th Security Forces Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., have been working as a team two years; this is their first deployment together. Sergeant Craig is with the 376th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, and Colonel Beyerle is a 376th Expeditionary Medical Group dental surgeon, also deployed from Nellis AFB. As active-duty members, military working dogs are eligible for the same medical benefits as their two-legged partners. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Christy Stravolo)
