Crews sharpen skills at Atlantic Strike
An A-10 Thunderbolt II takes off from MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., for an Atlantic Strike exercise mission Oct. 24. The fighter, from the 23rd Fighter Group at Pope AFB, N.C., was at MacDill for the U.S. Central Command bi-annual Atlantic Strike training event. Through realistic close-air support training, Atlantic Strike is designed to better prepare aircrews and Air Force joint tactical air controllers for deployments.
