Kirkuk self-help project protects airfield assets, saves money
This is a picture of what it looked when vehicles had uncontrolled access to the base's airfield prior to a 506th Air Expeditionary Group self-help airfield-security project in June at Kirkuk Air Base, Iraq. Volunteers helped save an estimated $500,000 by using existing assets to build a barricade along the airfield perimeter. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Eunique Stevens)
