Tough duty brings out best in Balad hospital volunteers

Staff Sgt. Robert Bouick (left) speaks with a fellow hospital volunteer, Army Reserve Specialist Joushua Lilliblad, at the Air Force Theatre Hospital at Balad Air Base, Iraq. Sergeant Bouick is a force protection escort. Specialist Lilliblad, who amassed more than 400 hours volunteering during his 365 day tour in Iraq, is cross-training from munitions to becoming a surgical technician and is spending his last duty day in theatre volunteering in the operating room during the midnight shift.
