Red Horse sergeants preserve Soviet military heritage
Tech. Sgts. David Keeley and Raymond Ross examine a memorial found on Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. Through research, it was discovered that the memorial honored five Soviet aviators posthumously awarded Hero of the Soviet Union, equivalent of the U.S. Medal of Honor. The sergeants, who are assigned to the 1st Expeditionary Red Horse Group, are taking steps to save and restore the monument. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Joseph Kapinos)
