Two Alamo City Airmen vie for 'American Idol' spot
Hopefuls wait outside the Alamodome for their chance to audition for the FOX television show "American Idol" in San Antonio on Aug. 11. More than 4,000 people were in line by 5 a.m., and as many as 8,000 were expected to audition. A second round of auditions will follow before contestants get to sing for judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson and a chance to continue to Hollywood. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt.
