Planes over water

AIR FORCE PHOTOS

An MQ-1 Predator sits in a hardened aircraft shelter Aug. 7 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The 332d Air Expeditionary Wing there is home to the largest operational Predator squadron in the world, operating about 20 of the aircraft. The shelter still bears the pock marks from U.S. attacks at the opening of Operation Iraqi Freedom (U.S. Air Force photo/SrA Kerry Solan-Johnson).
