Flight builds training replicas, saves money
Bud Schmidt holds a model of an unmanned aerial vehicle created by the Fused Deposition Modeler at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, on Wednesday, July 19. The modeler creates 3-D, solid models using polycarbonate, synthetic plastic, wax and other materials to build durable, fully functional trainers that can range from an aircraft engine or landing gear to a mold of teeth.
