U.S., Parwan governments build 'bridge to future'
An Afghan boy crosses a newly built bridge in the northern Parwan Province of Afghanistan. The bridge, an initiative of the Parwan government and supported by the U.S. military's Bagram Provincial Reconstruction Team, links 600 to 700 Afghan families to a main highway. The bridge is the first step of a transportation and flood control improvement project for the area. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. David Kurle)
