Gen. William T. Hobbins congratulates NATO troops at Exercise Steadfast Jaguar in Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, on Friday, June 23. The purpose of the live exercise is to test NATO Response Force-7's ability to project a force a strategic distance from mainland Europe and sustain it. More than 7,000 NATO personnel from land, maritime and air components trained together as a multinational joint force for the exercise that began June 15 and concludes today. General Hobbins is the commander of U.S. Air Forces Europe, and Air Component Command Ramstein, as well as director of the Joint Air Power Competency Center at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
