NATO troops exercise at Steadfast Jaguar

A German force protection platoon prepares to fend off simulated rioters during NATO's Exercise Steadfast Jaguar in Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, on Friday, June 23. The purpose of the exercise is to test NATO's ability to project a force a strategic distance from mainland Europe and sustain it. The riot scenario demonstrated the German platoon's crowd control and riot training. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Krista Carlos)
