Airmen ensure blood flows to forward locations
Airman 1st Class Rachel Castaneda maneuvers a forklift carrying a palletized blood and plasma shipment at the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group's Expeditionary Blood Transshipment System at a forward operating base in Southwest Asia. Master Sgt. Ed Juraszek and Capt. Scott Corey help guide the pallet into a refrigerated storage unit at the flightline where the blood stays until it is put on an aircraft going to forward operating bases. Airman Castaneda is assigned to the 379th EMG. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Chuck Marsh)
