Airmen ensure blood flows to forward locations
Staff Sgt. Terrance Tolbert and Senior Airman Marla Musnia inspect plastic bags of frozen fresh plasma for cracks or rips at a forward operating base in Southwest Asia. The gloves are necessary since the plasma is stored in dry ice for shipping. On busy days when the Expeditionary Blood Transshipment System team receives large shipments, volunteers from the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group help inspect the packets.
