Program aims to eliminate bird threat to aircraft
These KC-135 Stratotankers parked on the ramp of a forward operating location Sunday, April 23, 2006, provide fuel to B-52 Stratofortresses that fly in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The 40th Air Expeditionary Group safety office here manages the bird aircraft strike hazard program, eliminating that threat so that aircraft can complete their combat missions.
