Air Warrior II
FORT POLK, La. (AFPN) -- Tech. Sgt. Dan Kurtin calls in air support while Senior Airman Ty Terpening coordinates operations with Army Capt. Jeff Staker during an Air Warrior II exercise here Feb. 9. Air Warrior II is a joint and total force exercise designed to give deploying units a realistic training environment. The exercise incorporates air power with Army maneuvers to help Army and Air Force units work better together in the field. Sergeant Kurtin and Airman Terpening are Guardsmen with the 169th Air Support Operations Squadron in Peoria, Ill. Captain Staker is an intelligence officer with the 1-133rd Infantry Battalion.
