Bloggers Flight with the Hurricane Hunters
Lt. Col. Val Hendry, onboard a WC-130J "Hurricane Hunter," collects weather data during a training mission May 19. A first for the Air Force, military bloggers were invited to fly with the crew on the mission. Colonel Hendry is a flight meteorologist assigned to the Air Force Reserve Command's 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss.
