President's physician receives first star
WASHINGTON -- President Bush removes Brig. Gen. (Dr.) Richard J. Tubb's eagles during the doctor's promotion ceremony in the Oval Office here today. Dr. Tubb's wife, Kathy, also assisted with the ceremony. Dr. Tubb, a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate, is the president's physician. As the director of the medical unit, Dr. Tubb runs a staff of about 25 of the nearly 2,000 people assigned to the White House Military Office. (White House photo by Paul Morse)
