Troops look up to EC-130 support
BAGRAM AIR BASE, Afghanistan (AFPN) -- Maintainers' shadows stretch across the tarmac here as they watch an EC-130H Compass Call start its engines before a combat sortie. The aircraft, belonging to the 41st Expeditionary Electronic Combat Squadron, deployed from Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz. It left on its mission Oct. 22. Since November 2004, EC-130s have supported more that 1,500 air-support requests from ground forces participating in Operation Enduring Freedom. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. James H. Cunningham)
