BAGRAM AIR BASE, Afghanistan -- Airman 1st Class Gregory Viruet picks up a pallet of cargo of earthquake relief supplies bound for Pakistan. The first relief supplies from the United States were ready for departure aboard a C-17 Globemaster III here less than 48 hours after the devastating earthquake left thousands dead and thousands more injured. More than 134,000 pounds of food, water, cots, medical supplies and American Red Cross items have been flown out of Bagram headed for Pakistan. Airman Viruet is a short takeoff and landing coordinator with the 455th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron. He is deployed from McChord Air Force Base, Wash.
