First snow
MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Keith Anderson checks identification cards at the main gate here after the first snowfall of the year. As of 11 a.m. on Oct. 5, the base had received 5 inches of snow to accompany 45-mph winds and a temperature of 32 degrees. Mr. Anderson is a gate guard with the 5th Security Forces Squadron.
