Hurricane Rita damage

NEW ORLEANS - An Airman surveys damage Sept. 24 to an Air Force-built tent city constructed here for Soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division. Nearly 600 Airmen hunkered down in the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport during the storm. There was only minor flooding at the Air Force camp where Airmen spent the days leading up to the arrival of Hurricane Rita fortifying the base with sandbags. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
