Searching the manifests
LOUIS ARMSTRONG NEW ORLEANS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, La. -- Staff Sgt. Sonia Chavez and her co-worker assist Joel Hunt in his search for his mother, Miriam. The 375th Medical Group is deployed here from Scott Air Force Base, Ill., to assist in airlifting and providing medical care to displaced Americans affected by Hurricane Katrina. Sergeant Chavez searched through passenger manifests trying to find Mr. Hunt's mother. Mrs. Hunt was later located in a nursing home facility in northern Louisiana.
