FORT A.P. HILL, Va. -- Retired Lt. Col. Jeff Ball helps a Boy Scout earn an aviation merit badge at the 2005 National Scout Jamboree by teaching him the fundamentals of powered flight. Retired and active-duty Air Force pilots, civilian pilots, certified flight instructors and even a Navy pilot helped nearly 1,000 Boy Scouts earn their aviation merit badge during the 10-day Jamboree.
