Mission complete: Charleston Airmen return home

Master Sgt. Kevin Kloeppel reunites with wife, Alison, May 3 at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C. More than 140 Airmen from the 16th Airlift Squadron returned from their 120-day deployment to the Middle East supporting operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and operations in the Horn of Africa. While deployed, the 16th AS executed 142 airdrops that resupplied servicemembers serving in the regions with 3.7 million pounds of supplies. Sergeant Kloeppel is a loadmaster for the 16th AS.
