Air Warrior II tests aircrews and controllers

FORT POLK, La. -- A roadside bomb detonates near a convoy during Air Warrior II here. During this live-fire portion of the exercise, the Army convoy is attacked by a simulated enemy and must respond. A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft helped suppress the simulated attack with guidance from Air Force joint terminal attack controllers embedded with the 10th Mountain Division.
