Air Warrior II tests aircrews and controllers
FORT POLK, La. -- Senior Airman Joshua Cullins (right) and Staff Sgt. Dan Kovarik guide an A-10 Thunderbolt II onto a target during a live-fire portion of Air Warrior II here. The joint exercise trains Army units with embedded Air Force Joint terminal attack controllers in a realistic battlespace. Troops face a live enemy force, local role players and a variety of targets for air and ground forces. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Stephen Otero)
