Lab uses vibration testing to solve aircraft problems
TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Bill Fleenor examines a KC-135 Stratotanker air cycle machine with a new metal scatter shield that he will test in the vibration test facility here where he works as a mechanical engineer. Once attached to a specially made mount, the part will be subjected to extreme vibration conditions similar to those during flight. (U.S. Air Force photo by Margo Wright)
