Pavement pounders
DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. -- Sam Alvarado welds together a broken chain attachment for a paving screed May 6. Engineers with the 355th Civil Engineer Squadron used an asphalt lay-down machine to pave the new entrance to a gate here. Mr. Alvarado is a contractor with the squadron.
