Special Olympics brings joy to Yokota volunteers
YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Tech. Sgt. Melissa Popejoy, left awards a medal to a Japanese athlete after she competed in a track and field event during the 26th Annual Kanto Plain Special Olympics here. More than 400 athletes from 20 Japanese schools competed in the two-day event May 7 and 8, which included basketball, softball throw, swimming and bowling.
