Airmen hunt down problems before having chance to fester

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- Senior Airman Jack Ziegert bolts panels onto a KC-135 Stratotanker here. The panels were removed at the beginning of a weeklong inspection where maintainers pored over every inch of the aircraft. Once inspections and maintenance are complete, maintainers begin the finishing process by bolting panels back on. Airman Ziegert is a periodic inspection crew chief with the 92nd Maintenance Squadron. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Nathan Gallahan)
