Fuels specialist is 'for the birds'
EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Bluebird hatchlings snuggle together on a cold morning. A typical nest has between three to five eggs, said Master Sgt. William Burke, a fuels specialist with the 96th Logistics Readiness Squadron here. After incubating for two weeks, the blue eggs hatch. It will take 16 to 22 more days for the hatchlings to leave the nest. Sergeant Burke has made about 25 birdhouses here for Eastern Bluebirds. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Mike Meares)
