Intensive care in the air
BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- Capt. (Dr.) Warren Thio (right) transcribes a critically injured patient's records and medicines as Tech. Sgt. Tammy Shy (left) and Maj. Kathleen Browning prepare machines to monitor the status and administer medication for a patient at the Air Force Theater Hospital intensive care unit here. They are part of a critical-care air-transport team from Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The team prepared the patient for a flight to Germany under their constant medical supervision.
