MANAS AIR BASE, Kyrgyzstan -- Tech. Sgt. Aaron Allen (left) and Airman 1st Class Nicole Cherry practice a handline operation where firefighters enter a facility to perform an offensive operation. An offensive operation is used when there is an attempt to rescue people, which is done by a rescue crew while keeping the fire from spreading to uninvolved areas of the facility.
