Frigid freight
MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Tech. Sgt. Daniel Skurka checks the paperwork for communications equipment being prepared for shipment to areas affected by tsunamis Dec. 26. About 25 people and 70 tons of cargo from the 35th Fighter Wing here are scheduled to deploy to the region Jan. 6 to assist relief operations there. Besides the communications cargo, 35th FW officials are scheduled to ship medical equipment and three airfield crash rescue firefighting vehicles.
