Defender Challenge
LACKLAND AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) -- Airman 1st Class Sarosh Sher sprints to the aid of a simulated downed Airman during the handgun and shotgun event at Defender Challenge 2004. Airman Sher, from the 99th Security Support Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., is on the Air Combat Command team. The annual Defender Challenge here pits security forces teams from Air Force major commands, the Royal Air Force Regiment and the Department of Energy against each other in events that test marksmanship, tactics, physical fitness and teamwork.
