POL Airmen help turn C-130 into flying gas station
SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Senior Airman Pete Kaplan connects a 3-inch hose to a fuel truck before unloading nearly 3,000 gallons of fuel at a forward-deployed location. He is part of a four-person team that flies missions with the aerial bulk fuel delivery system. The system turns cargo aircraft into mobile gas stations, capable of delivering fuel to any location in the area of responsibility. Airman Kaplan is from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.
