The two men met in the office of General Hoyt S. Vandenberg (right), Chief of Staff, U.S. Air Force. 31 May 1951. Captain Rickenbacker became the first American "Ace" on 30 May 1918 and Captain Jabara became the first American jet "Ace" on 20 May 1951. (U.S. Air Force photo)
