MANAS AIR BASE, Kyrgyzstan -- Staff Sgt. Charles Swartwood inspects the wheel well of a KC-135 Stratotanker before flight. The tanker's primary mission here is to supply fuel to the fighters and bombers providing close-air support to the soldiers on the ground in Afghanistan.
