OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM -- (Clockwise from left) Staff Sgt. C.D. Schmeid, Airman 1st Class Dustin Sharpmack, 1st Lt. Trace Dotson and Capt. Troy Panon display an 86-by-76-inch handmade American Flag. The one-of-a-kind flag was designed and created by Iowa school students as part of the "Hand on America" project. The crew displayed the flag on a flight over Iraq on Dec. 9. The airmen are all part of a KC-10 Extender crew who are at a forward-deployed location.
