BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- Tech. Sgt. Todd Halsey and Staff Sgt. Nelsen Bernardo discuss which rooms in a building here need to be surveyed for future upgrades. Many of the buildings require a lot of work because the base was abandoned after being bombed during the 1991 Gulf War. Both airmen are electricians deployed from Kadena Air Base, Japan.
