LOS ANGELES -- Three-year-old Melissa Cromwell is lifted high by fellow Vandenberg Flyers cheerleaders while performing in the pregame show here for the L.A. Clippers basketball team Nov. 15. Sixteen of the team's 43 girls participated in the show. Ranging from 3 to 14 years old, the Flyers have been together at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., since spring.
