BAGRAM AIR BASE, Afghanistan -- Staff Sgt. Jerrad Oakes prepares to place a 30 mm ammunition round in a loading sleeve so it can be loaded on an A-10 Thunderbolt II for combat here. Oakes is assigned to the 455th Expeditionary Operations Group and is deployed as part of Air and Space Expeditionary Force Blue from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.
