KIRKUK AIR BASE, Iraq -- Staff Sgt. Doug Baker (foreground) and Latvian navy Warrant Officer Guntars Jeromans prepare to destroy more than 180 120 mm mortar rounds. Baker carefully loads PE-4, a British plastic explosive, into a 1,000-pound "dumb bomb" to detonate the load of more than 10,000 pounds of recovered Iraqi ordinance.
