Silver Flag
RAMSTEIN AIR BASE, Germany -- Silver Flag exercise participants here process through a contamination-control area after a simulated chemical attack during a portion of the exercise. The exercise, which ended Oct. 19, provided more than 250 U.S. Air Forces in Europe airmen from several specialties with realistic contingency-operations training. Previous exercises included only civil engineer and services airmen. The control area is used to decontaminate people who have been in the area of a chemical attack.
