OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM (AFPN) -- Tech. Sgt. Richard Silk talks to an A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, who just arrived at Bagram AB, Afghanistan. Silk is an A-10 crew chief from the Maryland Air National Guard. About 150 people and eight A-10s deployed to Bagram from Spangdahlem to assume the close-air support mission.
