Time on his paws
ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Harras, a military working dog here, chases a toy thrown by his handler, Staff Sgt. Jeff Crawn. The 13-year-old working dog -- equivalent to 91 in human years -- retired May 23 during a ceremony after serving 12 years with the Air Force. Arthritis forced 48th Security Forces Squadron officials to relieve Harras of duties months ago. He will live out his retirement years under the care of the handlers and staff at the squadron's kennels. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Will Ackerman)
