The eagle has landed
ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- A Japanese Air Self Defense Force F-15J Eagle arrives for Cooperative Cope Thunder May 27. The exercise marks the first time fighters from the JSDAF deployed to North America for an exercise. Cooperative Cope Thunder is a Pacific Air Forces-sponsored air combat training exercise set for June 5-20. More than 1,675 people will participate at Elmendorf and Eielson Air Force Bases, including approximately 980 U.S. service members and 695 service members from Thailand, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, India and NATO.
