Ramstein welcomes new J-model C-130

Col. Donald Bacon, 435th Air Base Wing commander at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, helps marshal the first C-130J Super Hercules to be stationed there during an arrival ceremony, April 7. The aircraft's owning unit, the 86th Airlift Wing, celebrated not only the arrival of the J-model during the ceremony, but also a new era in operations for the wing. This aircraft is the first of 14 J-models that are scheduled to arrive over the next 12 months to replace the older E-model Hercules stationed there.
